STUDENTS // 6th - 12th Grade

Journey Church’s Student Ministry is the weekly gathering of youth in 6th – 12th grade. Our vision is to move students on a simple journey toward Jesus. We encourage students to discover Jesus for themselves, to ask questions about Christianity and the world around them, and to interpret those questions in light of what scripture teaches.

We take pride in striving to fulfill these two goals: to proclaim the Word of God to students in a way they can understand it and equip these students to read and understand the Bible on their own.

Join us and experience a fun, safe place for students to grow spiritually, form relationships with other students, and connect with adult leaders dedicated to seeing students grow closer to Jesus. At The Way, it is our prayer that students will encounter an authentic atmosphere where they can have powerful experiences with God through His Word!

We are so glad to have you! Come in the side entrance and someone from our check-in team will direct you to the student center. At Journey Church we believe substantial growth in one’s faith happens best in the context of relationships. Our student ministry is built on small groups and living in community with one another. Our services start with 15 minutes of student-led worship, followed by a 20 minute sermon and small groups. When you arrive, we will connect you with an adult who will serve as your small group leader.

We also offer a middle school small group on Sunday mornings at 11 AM for any middle school students that want to attend. This is a more informal time where we study the Bible, play games, and build community!

At Journey Church we believe that substantial growth in one’s faith happens best in the context of intimate friend relationships. That’s why we believe that ALL PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE. We believe that one of the most important things you can do is join a Journey Group. It’s not easy being a student these days, especially if you’re trying to follow Jesus in a world where most other people aren’t. We all need someone to talk to or hang out with, someone who gets it and has our back. So sign up and get connected with a leader and a group of friends who are dealing with the same stuff you are, because you can’t do life alone!
